White-Spunner Construction is proud to celebrate the grand opening of the new Home Depot in St. Augustine, Florida, located in the World Golf Village area.
The project site presented significant challenges from day one. The parcel featured extremely swampy conditions and was heavily populated with dense trees, requiring extensive sitework before construction could even begin. More than 115,000 cubic yards of dirt, the equivalent of over 6,000 dump truck loads, had to be imported to prepare the land for building.
Despite the complexity of the site, the new store was completed in just 12 months — delivered on time and under budget.
The finished project features a 136,228-square-foot tilt-up concrete building, complete with a garden center and tool rental center, ready to serve the growing St. Augustine community.
This project marks another milestone in our valued, 30-year relationship with Home Depot. Over the decades, White-Spunner Construction has proudly completed hundreds of Home Depot locations nationwide, and we look forward to continuing this trusted partnership.
