White-Spunner Construction (WSC) recently completed the construction of a new Home Depot retail store in Katy, Texas. This ground-up, tilt-wall store spans 134,392 square feet and features a new “consumer-friendly layout.” The layout includes a more flexible checkout and customer service area, specialty showrooms with new merchandising displays and layouts, a large garden center, a tool rental center and new storage areas for customers to pick up their online orders in the store. Although there are several Home Depot stores in the Katy area, this is the first one located within Katy city limits. The project was completed in less than a year.
