White-Spunner Construction Celebrates Completion of the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts at Enterprise State Community College

White-Spunner Construction is proud to announce the completion and opening of the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts at Enterprise State Community College — a vibrant new hub for performance, creativity, and community engagement in the Wiregrass region.

Named in honor of Chancellor Jimmy H. Baker, a lifelong advocate for education and the arts, the Baker Center is a state-of-the-art, 50,000-square-foot facility that brings the best in music, theatre, visual arts, and educational programming to students, artists, and audiences of all ages.

We are proud to partner with the Alabama Community College System and Enterprise State Community College on this transformative project, and we are grateful for their trust in White-Spunner Construction as Construction Manager.

As Construction Manager, White-Spunner oversaw the successful delivery of this exceptional facility featuring a 600-seat auditorium with professional-grade theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging systems; a two-story academic wing with modern classrooms and instructional spaces; and dedicated art galleries that celebrate the intersection of creativity and education.

“White-Spunner Construction is thankful that we are able to assist the Community College System navigate this project,” said Jeff Carrico, President and Chief Operations Officer of WSC.

We want to congratulate our dedicated team for their leadership and contributions on the project, including Project Executive Justin Thorpe, Assistant Superintendent Billy Lowe, and Project Coordinator Mary Landrum.

The Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision — investing in Alabama’s students and strengthening the cultural fabric of our state. White-Spunner Construction is honored to have played a role in bringing this remarkable project to life and looks forward to seeing it serve as a center where artistry meets opportunity for generations to come.
