WHITE-SPUNNER CONSTRUCTION AWARDED HIGHEST HONOR AT abc SAFE DAY CEREMONY
On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Alabama chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) presented White-Spunner Construction with the prestigious Eagle Award at the annual Safe Day award ceremony. The Eagle Award is presented to companies with exceptional corporate safety and health plans, highlighting their outstanding safety initiatives. This award is considered the most esteemed honor by the organization. Notably, WSC previously received the Eagle Award in 2009.
In addition to the Eagle Award, White-Spunner Construction was also recognized with a Platinum Level Safety, Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award. According to ABC National, “STEP is a safety benchmarking and improvement tool that significantly enhances safety performance in the construction industry, irrespective of company size or type of work." The certification specifically serves as a benchmark for evaluating safety performance against local competitors.
“We are honored to have received the prestigious Eagle Award and Platinum Level STEP award,” said Jeff Carrico, chief operations officer at White-Spunner Construction. “These distinctions reaffirm our commitment to prioritizing safety above all else and emphasize our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality and production. They are a testament to the hard work of every member of the White-Spunner Construction team. We are immensely proud of this achievement and remain dedicated to setting the bar for safety excellence in the construction industry.”
White-Spunner Construction is a certified Grade A contractor by ISNetworld and boasts an Experience Modification Rating (EMR) of 0.88, which is significantly lower than the industry average. The company is dedicated to fostering and upholding a culture where safety, quality, and production are paramount.
