Boys & Girls Clubs Fishing Trip

On Saturday, July 30, White-Spunner Construction (WSC) and White-Spunner Realty (WSR) hosted the 10th Annual Boys and Girls Clubs Fishing Trip at the Tonsmeire Facility on Weeks Bay in Fairhope, Ala.

This annual fishing trip allows area children the opportunity to learn about a new hobby and meet potential mentors and friends while spending a day of fun and fellowship on the water. Each year, community volunteers in the form of area captains and boat owners generously volunteer their time, boats and fishing supplies to provide underserved children with this opportunity.

This year, twenty-five children from the Optimist Club attended the event along with eight boat captains and more than fifteen volunteers.

“Providing children in the Mobile community with the opportunity to have new experiences and create life-long memories is why we do what we do. The joy on these children’s faces when they catch their first fish surrounded by old friends and new mentors is blissful,” noted John White-Spunner, Founder, President and CEO of White-Spunner Construction and CEO of White-Spunner Realty. “We are lucky to have such a wonderful Boys and Girls Club in our community.”
