Safe + Sound Week

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe.

What Safety Means to Me

“Safety to me means making sure at the end of the day we can all go home to our families free from injury or long-term exposure to anything that might shorten our time with the ones that mean the most in our lives. It also means making sure we don’t do anything to keep our coworkers from going home to their loved ones as well. When someone gets injured in the workplace, they are not the only ones that suffer. A workplace injury also hurts the ones that depend on us to care and provide for their wellbeing, or even to just simply be there in their life when they need us. You should always remember that if you can’t find motivation to be safe for yourself, then be safe for the ones you love.”
